Hi there folks,
I am new to this forum. THis seems to be a great source for bushcraft fanatics and I hope to learn a lot from you all.
I am Dutch and love the outdoors, from fishing, wild camping, hiking, birdwatching, you name it.
In recent years I have done quite some wild camping trips, mostly in Scandinavia, but also in other parts of Europe and Canada and Alaska.
I am planning a trip with two friends in the end of September. Wild camping, fishing, hiking and hopefully some bushcrafting. Never slept in the woods using only a tarp instead of a tent. Looking forward to more advanced shelter building and think I will learn a lot from you guys (and girls).
Anyhow, I will look around the forum and hope to find a nice place for our trip in Scotland. Any recomendations on a specific destination would be great. We are looking for hills/mountains, good fishing and plenty of woods for wild camping and cooking on a campfire. Currently we consider Galloway Forest park.
Cheers,
Yourinoire
