Hello!
My name is Mike (43) and I am a British Ex-Pat and have been living in Germany for over 20 years.
I grew up in Staffordshire between Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford and spent a lot of my time between the age of 8 and 18 with the Scouts.
Back then I mostly enjoyed the backwoods stuff we did and our Scout Leader was a great inspiration (God bless you George and R.I.P)
I have always had a heart for the great outdoors and my intrest for bushcraft and survival got rekindled again in 2007.
In Germany we have a couple of good bushcraft forums in which I post under this username. I like to read the threads in this forum and thought I should at least say hello.
The bushcraft-scene here is not quite as popular as in Britain but I have quite a few friends here that are active in my region.
Here in the Stuttgart region we have beautiful places to visit and rough it out in the woods. If anyone happens to be around the region "Schwäbische Alb" or the Swabian Alb, then give me a buzz and I could give a few tips for places to visit and things to see.
