Hi all

Been interested in bushcraft ever since I bought the book 'The Survival Handbook by Raymond Mears' in 1994! Just getting into the idea of spoon carving and have got a few tools together to give it a whirl.

Looking forward to chatting with you all at some point

Thanks guys for the warm welcome! Nice to see a few Oxfordians active on here too! It was my birthday today and got a few nice gifts from the wife including a Mora 106 and a hook knife. Will be putting those to good use along with the Kent style axe that I modified to be similar to the Hans Karlson Sloyd axe and the Svante Djarv little viking. It came out really well, if a little light compared to the original. However only cost me £20 including a new haft, instead of upwards of £150 if you can get one! I have a few more heads of different weights so plan to try a few more.
