Hello,

I used the forum a long time ago and have popped in now and again to visit put have not been involved. I wanted to introduce myself and look forward to being involved in meet-ups, research, tracking and expeditions. My main interests are obviously bushcraft, tracking, children`s bushcraft and nature photography.

I am 33 years old from Staffordshire and have done a fare few courses and trips in the 13 odd years I have been studying/employing bushcraft proffessionally. My personal interest stems from childhood.

I am a Forest School Trainer so spend my working life traveling around the country training, assessing and qualifying teachers, outdoor instructors, scout leaders, youth workers, community groups etc in Forest Schools, Beach Schools and general outdoor courses. I consider myself especially fortunate to have been trained by some extrodary people who have both inspired and challenged me.

I have a daughter who is as at home in the outdoors as she is anywhere else and is a very good drgonfly spotter and deer tracker, having found her first deer rest spot this past weekend (she is 2).

I am on twitter as personally as OutdoorsPaul, but proffessionally as @Forestschools.

Thanks guys.

Undamiano, Coventry, not far. I saw your add in a mag recently, really striking image, lovely. Dare I ask the inspiration? (I am sure you have been asked that a lot)

The artist created just what I wanted, a "woods man". The original artwork is even better, a true man of the woods. I have the original framed at home.

The original came from the Druids consulting with the trees to gain wisdom, and the secrets of the forest, the original has a druid talking to the woodsman and receiving an acorn. Im not a Druid or into that sort of thing before you ask, I just really liked the picture
