The point of this is not to start a conversation but to give a brief explanation, which we don't usually do, but I can't be doing with the sniping on how heavy handed we are that will probably start up very soon.
Hellize was regrettably banned yesterday because he went on a post deleting frenzy in the afternoon, this took many thread out of context and left peoples comments hanging with little meaning or reference.
This came about because he had been asked politely to tone down a couple of the stories that he posts with his knives when he's trying to sell them. He took the request as an insult to his artistic rights, this was not helped by the encouragement of a few others here on the forums, which is sad, those that helped fuel his irritation have done him a disservice.
Over a coupe of days there were exchanges where I reiterated that there was no issue with his stories and he just needed to tone them down as they were getting more crass and explicit which was inappropriate on Bushcraft UK. He preceded to attack individual mods and defend the absolute need of graphic descriptions/stories as they are what sold his knives.
At the end of the conversation the only thing we asked of him was to not post explicit descriptions/stories on Bushcraft UK and he reacted in a way that there was no choice but to ban him.
