I have the little brother to this one, simiilar design but without the wired hood and abrasion resistant material, and it's served very well with almost daily wear over the last two winters. The water repellent has gone on mine and is proving difficult to restore now with nikwax as it's a bit tooo worn out in areas - the abrasion resistant patches on the Trek model should help with that. Good for the walk in to your camping spot in the rain - not so good around the campfire I should imagine!
