BBC2 tonight 9pm: Monty halls' great escape.

Part 1 of 5.

Documentary series in which the marine biologist sets up home in a converted
cattle shed on the west coast of Scotland to become a professional beachcomber.
In this edition, a team of locals helps to convert a cattle shed into a comfortable home.

Should be quite good, not sure if it's just BBC Scotland or not though :dunno:

Really enjoyed this show but the cynic in me can't help thinking, "Did he do it alone or did Aunty Beeb put in some wonga to the project?" I hope the former as I am sure he is worth a serious bob or 2!!

I wonder how happy he is with his dream in the depths of the beautiful Scottish Winter when the wind is gusting 70mph and the sleet is horizontal?

Craeg ;)

Yes, I'm sure just the deer fencing alone will necessitate a hike in the Beeb's 2010 licence fee! Then there are all those beers to be purchased for the locals!

Couldn't help smile when he all but appeared to address this website in his "'I'm not a survivalist who can rub two squirrels together to make fire" comment.

Good on him I say if he can persuade the BBC to sponsor a 6-month jolly up.

Pleased also to note his excellent choice of vehicle.:D

Cheers!
