The Works have reduced Collins guides in at the mo from £15 to £4.99!
They have a tree guide, wild flowers and British Wildlife. They are are great books bout half A4 size bit heavy for the field but great ref good pics and easy id. Well recommend a look if you have a Works by you.

as a side note, I picked up the SAS survival guide by barry somethingorother for £2.50 in the charity shop. £2.50!!!!

It's not just in the works they are doing this deal .. i've seen it in a few different places (although they are probably all the same company).

Well worth the money. I like the Collins books anyway but these are really nice fro cross reference. I always have a look in The Works if passing by as they do have some good offers.

My local millets has the collins gem sas survival guide going for £4.99 .. not sure if it's worth it though.

Collins nature guides are 2.99 near me, I've now practically got the full set.

I have some of the nature guides but these are complete guides and have quite alot more info.(and weight!) Good books though the tree and wildflowers are very good.
