Heads up: Alpkit Gamma back in stock

After several months of having nil stock of the Gamma headtorch, I've just had an email from Alpkit to say they are available again, albeit at the new price of £15.

I've already ordered one, so fill yer boots...

Is the Gamma the one with about 7 different modes, green and red filter etc ?

Tony (peterleepaddler) had one of these on our recent bivvy trip I was using a petzl zippka.
Your right Rich it did have red and green lights I was really impressed with it for the money. He used the red Light or the green light for tasks aaround the area we where dossing down in and they didnt cause so much issue with night vision.

For the price very good.

Not sure if Alpkit are at nec show but thy were last year so I may grab one there hope fully gonna check out a few canoes whilst there.

I saw one up at Loch Lomond a few weeks ago, it was a natty little thing and dead cheap if I remember.

I've got too many torches anyway but I might have to invest

My Gamma arrived today. I'm impressed with both the light and the service.

Does it have a focused beam AND a wide-spread beam like the Tikka XP?
By looking at the productpage on Alpkit I would guess not, can anyone tell me for sure?

Nope I doesn't have the focused/flood option like the XP. But like folks have been saying for £15 you can't go wrong. I bought a bunch for work so I don't have to keep sorting kit bags/car etc: so got 5 for £55 (i.e. £11ea) Impressed with that! Might be an idea for a group buy, perhaps?
