Hazel on Hazel Bowdrill Set

Hey guys.

Been a while since I made a new vid due to various reasons. This is a Hazel bowdrill set, which I had great difficulty with in the beginning to get an ember going. I have tried to detail the difference in technique to other woods as much as I can both in the video and the description below.

I'll watch the video when I'm home but I do find making the kit smaller works with Hazel but it's been a while since I did it.

I tried my first bow & drill with this kit some weeks ago. Everything was fine (good set up, smoke on friction and so on) but same problem with ember. i agree with pushing much more the spindle would be more effective. Thanks for sharing your experience
