I use a British MTP Pack/Respirator Pouch as an EDC bag in town but, obviously, you can use it for whatever area you want.
Since I took these photos I’ve swapped the side pouches to larger ones, I’ve also removed one of the two internal open-topped pockets to give a little more room & the pouch on the inside of the lid isn’t used now.
I made a paracord grab strap, added pieces of Velcro on the flaps Velcro so I’m not always fighting to get open one-handed but if I want the flap more secure then I just pull off my attachments & it’s all back to normal.
I swapped the carry original strap to a spare one I had just because I prefer it.
I carry a small FAK in an external pouch, a water bottle or flask in the other & inside is a power bank with cables, notebook, pen & pencil all in a waterproof bag in the remaining interior pocket & in the main compartment I stuff, in winter, a Dutch Army snood, woolly hat & gloves & in the warmer months it’s normally empty for any odds & sods I pick up on my travels.

Have been playing around with my bag again & have added:
Wider strap & clasp to the front.
Two off cuts of thin strapping added to the front with carabiners so I attach my gloves & hat if need be.
Two external pouches that can carry the Crusader Mk2 cooking set.

These are great!
Bought 2!
If in the city, tie the big zip toggles at the front together, and hold it on a short shoulder strap in front of you. tie the rear one to the strap mount.
The pick pockets are amazing good and quick, especially the foreign pro ones. I've been on the London underground and watched them work, and witnessed a restaurant bag snatch from a chair at a table while I was sat at it. (after they had calmly had a meal there!)
One of my clients had her phone pinched out of her handbag last week in a tiny little village Co-Op - foreign woman seen on CCTV, not a local and disappeared smartish. Poor client was very upset, she might be retired but is very switched on, heartbreaking.
