Harriet Mead - sculptor

Just came across the work of Harriet Mead in the latest magazine from my local Wildlife Trust. I'm so impressed, and metalwork isn't normally my thing.

I especially like the gurnard with the circular saw blade fins

Most impressive! It's those subtle line of the animals that she's captured soooo well, they almost look alive even in the relaxed poses. Thanks for sharing.

I like the squid ... I suspect they look particularly good in the "flesh". Where are they? In Dorset?

Actually I really like the Cow sculpture too.

Ranks alongside the heavy horse by the M8 in Glasgow for me.

Amazing stuff - as Biker says, she really catches the true line of the animals.
