Handle Help

As a new comer to bushcraft is there anyone who could help me with some handle help? as i'm replacing a broken handle on a knive. i've got a block of curly birch and leather washers, but i'm unsure what Glue to use when fitting them together? Cheers

The spacers / washers are in the thread afore mentioned are vulcanised fibre material though, don't know if it makes any difference to leather ...

have you looked on britishblades? http://www.britishblades.com/forums/index.php, it shares alot of members with bcuk but it is a dedicated knife making forum with lots of very helpful and skilled knifemakers, there are also several tutorials you'll probably find useful.

Your best bet would be a slow cure 8 24 hour) epoxy.

Make sure the bits are clean and dry apply to both faces ( remember they have to be completely flat) then let the glue cure whilst UNDER PRESSURE.

You can use a variety of clams but also a cheap silicone pistol does a good jub.
