Hi guys probably my last offering of this year.
Andy oates skinner/ game dressing knife.
made from o1 steel and with a beautiful fileworked spine.
it is flat ground and has an oak coffin grip handle. has sort of a native American/ Canadian look imho
a bit too traditional for my tastes.
from research ive found the oates family have been cutlers in Sheffield since 1830. this is a gorgeous knife but not suited to me.
please excuse the photo quality ive just done them on my phone.
its not a mirror finish on the blade and has been given a once over with 600 grade wet and dry but as for a piece of cutlery its superb.
