Beautiful work, beautiful wood. Very lucky find too. Did you get anymore for future projects?
Really nice video too. Didn't realise the scale of it, very generous size. Excellent skills.

thanks, i have the other half of the split and the tree will carry on spalting for about another year before it starts really rotting and becoming unusable. the woods that i found it are very good for spalted beach, to be honest there is more than i could ever want. any beach tree that falls down ends up spalted about 6 months later. and the woodland manager is ok with me taking a few logs here and there. so that is a plus as well.

That's a lovely bowl Kris, your girlfriend must be really cuffed with it.
Nice wood and honey tones and the form you've given it really shows them off.
Excellent work.

Very nice indeed! I just picked up some wood in the local woodland that came down in the last wind and the first 3 foot is spalted but I think it may be too rotten, I am just waiting for it to dry a bit with my fingers crossed...... right, I'm off to watch your video now.

Dude that bowl is huge! Who needs a gym membership with that workout! The bit I have is about 8" diameter :(

I have to say though, you got all those specialist tools and work horse but you dont have a hammer to knock a couple of pins in? lol ;)
