Hammock & tarp £40

Looks heavy. Imho good for a militaria collector but to actually use it there are much better options for 40 quid.
You are not far from a DD hammock/tarp setup second hand, or even a new full fat DD travel hammock (49 pounds) and a cheapo blue tarp (3 quid).

I had the hammock around 2007 and it went to a member here (I'm not a hammock fan anyway). For the dosh, its cheap, maybe a good introduction to hammocking on a budget was my my first thought.

I used one of these for a week on a static camp in November, kept me warm and dry and quite comfortable. Absolutely bombproof construction,
real quality, but you wouldn't want to be over 5'10" to use it, and they weigh close to 2 Kilos, so you wouldn't really want to carry it on a regular basis.

I'm not a hanger, can't get away from the curved back thing, but I was comfortable in this and didn't want to give it back to it's owner!
