Having used the 2mm for a tarp line initially I now use that for the guy lines instead and have gone to the 3mm for the tarp line as I found it easier to tension and knot, but all very good and pretty good prices too.

To be fair a ready made set of whoopie slings from DD are only £12 and 40g......losing weight is always good, but how light do you "need" it to be
I use DD's super light tree huggers too, which are 40g and a considerable saving in bulk over standard black nylon webbing.

lots of options for much lighter hammocks too.....ukhammocks woodsman lite is 30 odd quid with dyneema lines. 330g complete iirc
