I'm about half way through the book at the moment, its a good read. So will be giving these a look when I get a bit more time.
There is also a second part to Alone in the Wilderness that came out recently with footage that wasn't int he first one. It gives more of a glimpse of how he managed to do it overall, with his brother flying supplies to him, etc.
It's exquisite, simply the finest hour it's possible to spend in front of the TV. I watch it about once a month.
Yeah, was reminded of Dick when watching Kevin McCloud's programme the other day.
Dick seemed to have the majority of the log cabin structure up in 9 days or something by himself. And there's Kevin taking considerably longer with help.
