Do anyone know of a shop in the UK I can buy a grid-it style cable organizer as I need one before I go on holiday and can't rely on post to get it here in time

Should be able to get it by Friday on eBay. You could also signup to the one-month of free Amazon Prime to get it next day delivery with compatible Amazon seller.

Apple stores sell them, or get some silicone backed elastic, a plastic board, a glue gun and make one. I've made a small one and have half an eye out for an a4 piece of suitable plastic to make a larger one.

I found a good seller for the elastic at a cheaper cost than others but have the details at home I'm working away at the minute.
