I do not know how local in West Sussex you are to the Weald and Downland museum but if you are it may be worth giving them a ring checking they have them in stock. You can then pay the museum a visit which is a good day out and hand pick your own axe

why spend all that cash today i got a 1944 us hachit for 1 pound and tomorow its an excuse to go to the woods to find a peace of timber and the enjoyment in restoring and useing old tools that and old stuff is always better than new in my experance
