There are some excellent tutorials on this site!!!!

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find one that specifically shows how to use the Gransfors axestone on an axe?

And yes, I am that stupid:eek:

If there isn't a tutorial as yet about the stone's usage can I have some tips on using one.

Many thanks everyone :You_Rock_

I have only had a play with one but i was given a demonstration by an instructor once. Use circular motions rough side if you need to take out a ding and smooth if not. I use wet and dry plus an old file which does the job but the Grany stones are very nice also.

One major tip WEAR GLOVES ! i am currently sporting a painful purple axe shaprening scar

the best thing I can say about the round axe stones is that they make great paper weights. I woud NEVER use it to sharpen my axe with though :O I like having my fingers attached and a piece of wet n dry does a much better job of sharpening than that lump of kerb stone!

Sorry I thik they are a silly idea ;)
