As I'm sure people are aware you can buy a groundsheet for the shangri la but I prefer to use a poncho or similar to bed down on in mine.

Do you know if the Shangrila is any larger than the Hex 3?

I used to have the latter but it was a bit too small for my 6'4"

The dimensions of the Shangrila 3 are 9' 6" x 4' 9" x x 8' 3" (link here

I'm about 5'9" and had room at my head for a rucksack.

Bear in mind there is the central pole, but you can sleep right next to it and get almost the full length.

Any tall people on here like to comment on the Shangri la 3 for space?

FYI Ultralight Outdoor Gear (ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk) have a bathtub floor and a nest for the SL3 in their clearance section as we speak.
No connection but have dealt with them regularly and they are diamond geezers and all-round good eggs.
