No experience with that one fella......books say hardly worthwhile poor texture and taste.
If you are confident of the id have a small taste raw see what you get. Try cooking just with butter and salt and pepper and see what you get. As with any new food stuff I would try a small amount just in case of allergies.

I would try them so you can say for sure. I was on a funghi course at the weekend and the instructor said books vary considerably in what they say are edible....and books translated from Italian or French may well say things that are edible that we in the Uk would say are unpalatable.
