Glasgow to Inverness walking (part 1 The WHW) pic hevy

I have been meaning to put this up for some time but better late than never

The first part of the walk was the West Highland Way which i started with Scott (jinsin456) we had planned to do this over 7 days as Scott had not done this before but this was to change to 5 days as Scott had to drop out on the end of day two Day with sore feet and dehydration due to the heat ,but he done well to get as far as he did ,better luck next time Scott

Day (1) Milngavie to Balmaha


I think Scott was feeling the heat

Day (2) Balmaha to the bothy just outside benglass

Day (3) The bothy to Inveroran

Day(4) Inveroran to kinlochleven

I woke up to this german guy playing the ucalaly on a bridge ,something you dont see every day

Coming into Kinlochleven i had a walking partner for about 2 yards

Day(5) Kinlochleven to Fort William

And me at the end of the first part of the walk

The highest point on the way is about 1800 feet or so at the top of the devils stair case which is 2 miles from the Kings house heading towards Kinlochleven

The uke player was playing leaning on a lamp post which seemingly he played every morning,which drove his walking buddies nuts
