New ones can grow in the same spot but no guarantee. Worth keeping a note to check next year though - reminds me that I used to have different ‘crops’ plotted on google earth.
Personally I’m not a fan of giant puffball. It works ok when soaked in something or stuffed with something - basically when it’s a carrier for something else! Generally just too much puffy fungi and not enough flavour.
Always nice to see one though.

Good find 
I quite like it when young; just sliced, plenty of black pepper, and fried in butter. Less enjoyable when they get a bit soft.
