Hi

Can anyone recommend a good campsite for practicing bushcraft skills in the south of England or around the North Wales area. Allows campfires, some woodland and off the beaten track.

I’ll be with my kids so not quite up to “Wild Camping” just yet.

Thanks!

Hi,

Just got back from doing a week trek from Winchester to Amberley on the SDW with my two wee lads. We did a mix of wild camping (with landowner permission) and using traditional campsites along the way. We stayed for one night at the Sustainability Centre near East Meon. They have a handful of pitches and two firepits on the campsite. I saw that they were offering some bushcrafting courses on a regular basis, so if you let them know what you're doing they may be able to help out. The site was nice and clean and the staff were very helpful for our one night stay there.

Best of luck!

Ryan
