Gear shippers from USA to UK

Someone asked me to buy some gear in the USA and ship it to the UK. I declined for now, but I did seek out who would ship to the UK.


I started an inquiry on my home forum at survival.com. You have to be logged in to view the post due to security measures, but I'll try to post what I've learned.

They are a US "rent an address" and are a reputable firm by all accounts. Recommended by www.parcel2go.com and I have used them a lot.

Anything over about £18 and you can get hit with taxes. Better off getting a mate to ship it for you.

I think that in December, you will be allowed to ship in about £110 before tax

I knew about the £18 limit, it's a pain trying to keep under it when buying yards of cloth but didn't know it was going up
