It worked on a bigger scale in Perthshire, way back one of the local Dukes replanted a mountainside with cannon balls filled with seed fired at the mountain after a fire had initially burned them down.

Just use a reduced load to start with - must be a fibre wad I guess - and RTO with a paper overshot?

It does sound rather cool, shame my garden is a bit to small to fire my shotgun in. Might have to ask the local farmers if they want any wild flowers in the hedgerows and fallow land.

If they have one of the little wooden decapping sets, grab it - they are becoming hard to find - better yet one of the cast iron manual RTO sets - I so want one of them
