Folding Kukri?

Some of you might be familiar with the name Joerge Sprave. He's that nutjob on YouTube who makes catapults out of the bones of Dolphins and fires 20mm ball bearings into ballistic gelatin and zombies.... sorta.

Anyway I was having a lazy Saturday afternoon mooching about online and found this which I thought I'd share here. Pretty clever concept actually.

Neat idea, but I wouldn't trust it to do to much hacking before breaking. Even folded it's very big. There is a reason big blades are not folders.

I really like the little knife it's based on, but as others have said, I'd have concerns about hard chopping with it.

I must dig out my Cold Steel Rajah II for kindling duty this winter, it's a very tough folding kuk, though much smaller than the one in the video.

I actually collaborated on the design he credits for his inspiration, from the Cold Steel Forum.

It's a good idea, although it's possible classed as a butterfly knife or something, and therefore straight off illegal.

Clever, gets round the problem of the blade groove on the fingers.

The design borrows heavily from the old case folding bowie, also the Cold Steel Triple Action, both UK Legal (with good reason as both are locking blades)
