Just wondering , any other Honey Stove users had their tops/bottoms of the stoves warp with use? I'm not doing anything daft like insta-cooling the stove with water, I just let it air cool. I've found the top plate has warmed slightly using a Trangia burner, and today after taking it to bits, the bottom plate while burning wood!

do I have a duffer, or is this a general predicament?

It's a "chracteristic".Nothing to worry about at all, place between 2 bits of wood and place a heavy weight on them ,or use a vice or fingers to straighten.

just a thought, but could the warping have something to do with the annealing process? with it being so thin, a high temp and long slow cooldown could anneal it slightly, resulting in the warp?

im no expert at all in metallurgy but i thought of this when i saw the thread....
