lovely pictures red. i've got song thrush's nesting just over the road from me, the adults are on the bird table every day, no sign of young yet though

There doesn't seem to be as many song thrushes around these days,

I hope we are doing the right things to help them. With the thrushes its very simple - no pesticides (especially slug pellets). We have one deliberately thick hedge (about 10' thick) of native hedging which offers plenty of nest sites (although the mistle thrushes nest in the elsder trees).

Strangely the insects habitats are taking longer because we didn't have the right plants - we have planted them now though and done thngs like making wood piles of large logs to decay etc.

We have a lot more to do yet....but its getting there
