First Whittler

Just thought i would share with you guys my first attempt of making my own whittling knife handle!
Used a frosts mora 106 blade, bench ground it down to a blade length i was happy with, and used a bit of wood from a dismantled dinner table leg!
Just got to tell the wife that the table is no good now!

I notice you didn't use the walnut blank that I gave you, are you saving it for later.

This was just a trial run with an old, slightly bent, rusty blade.
Walnut is sitting with antler waiting for you to exam my first attempt, give me some tips, and the go ahead to do a propper one!

had a go with this knife today, worked well, RM made a few mods to the handle shape while we were in the woods and it's now a pearler of a little knife
