I've had this for a short while, and after seeing it's only hard use this past month or so, doing it's share of the donkey work felling a half dead Birch in my back garden (approx 20cm in diameter), I've finally decided I don't need to keep it, as it's not being used.

This is an outstanding saw, a classic Japanese design, with a nickname which translates as Whale Saw. Not commonly seen in UK in this size, I imported this from overseas before the Extra Coarse 550 model became available.

These have a progressive tooth size, with the "finer" teeth nearer the pistol gripped handle for starting the cut. It's a beast that just eats wood.

The HUGE benefit of this particular Silky is also that it's teeth are resharpenable, not that it's in any particular need of that anytime soon.

Looking for £55 posted for this unique and genuine alternative to a Gas Beaver.
