I've met folk who aren't bothering to even look for work and I just can't understand it...

Barrier cream's a great thing, but instead of using your fingers to clean out the swarf etc., what about using a wee inch paintbrush?

Just an elaboration, i need to clean the drill and cutting bits in between jobs, and the swarf is 'swirled' around the bits, so i need to twist it with thumb and finger to remove. the actual metal i clean with a file and its done.

Im going to pick up a pair of heavy duty mechanics gloves from arco and try them out, wont loose much if they aint suitable.

I understand what you mean about the people who seem happy enough on benefits, morally i felt like a tramp, and cant understand how people live on such little money.
