first kuksa attempt

Here's my first attempt at making a kuksa. It was made from dry mesquite and was a slow and sometimes painful project. First I roughed out the shape with my adze. Then I refined the outside with a knife. Finally I used a gouge to hollow it out. It holds coffee!

Nice job. I particularly like the pattern and "secondary bevel" round the rim.
