N690 SS with birds eye maple.
5mm stock with tapered tang down to 2.5mm.
OAL = 230mm
Blade = 114mm x 30mm x 5mm

Looking very nice to my eye and the sheaf.

Perhaps use 6 small pins for the scales rather than 3 if not using bolts?

Is it sold or for sale?

Thanks. I was going to do the pins with washers and domed but it didn't suit the knife so went this way instead. And yes it is up for sale.

Ah!! Secrets of the trade I used the same piece of steel that is used to do the blade Found a really old piece of rusted plate. Cleaned off all the rust with a wire brush. Cut it into sections. Welded it up onto bar stock for my press and used that to texture the blade (that was a 4 hour process all by itself). I then took a bolt and heated it up to yellow with the cutting torch and using a piece of thick wall tubing smacked it onto the rusty texture jig I made and there we have a new stamp for leather work. You have to round of the stamp edges or it leaves ugly marks.

Ah. A bespoke tool for a bespoke finish. Definitely well worth the effort.
