First bowdrill fire!

I just made my first fire using a bowdrill! Several hours of trying and a slight burn to the cheek from over-zealous puffing on the tinder bundle and there it was in all it's furious beauty! Well maybe not furious but I'm a bit over excited!

Well done, amazing feeling isn't it :-D I actually covered a new set of craghopper trousers in small burns when I did mine but the feelings of elation for actually managed compensated for that.

Good on ya buddy... it's a nice feeling to know you're one of the few (relatively) in the country that can do this isn't it
