first blood knife?

i'm not sure if this is the right thread for this but i am after a united cutlery first blood knife and as they r no longer made i wondered if anyone on here knew where i could get hold of one? cheers james

Master Cutlery in the US bought up alot of the old United cutlery stock and rights - they were banging out Rambo knives last year iirc.
Szco Supplies Inc in the US also used to carry them.

Both are wholesale companies but they may well be able to put you on to a retailer or even be happy to trade direct.

Avoid the Master Cutlery version like the plague as they are no where near as good or accurate as the United Cutlery versions were. You can get them of Ebay.com as they come up quite regularly. There's a guy in Italy that sells them every now and then. You could also put up a wanted ad on British Blades.

cheers guys have looked at the master cutlery version and it looks ok but heard from a few places that its not as good quality as the u c one.. oh and i buy and sell a lot on ebay uk, can i still buy knives from ebay .com then? as i know u can't buy or sell them on ebay uk.. james

I've bought from Ebay.com in Europe and the US without any problems. From what I've heard though, many US sellers will not ship to the UK anymore, Europe doesn't seem to have that problem.

True, Master Cutlery's version is not up to UC's standards.

If your after a decent quality version why not track down one of Farid's creations - they are seriously good.

If you are looking for a very high end copy and screen accurate (both the UC and MC versions have less teeth than the screen used versions and the sheaths are completely wrong), there are a couple of makers in the States who will make one for you. Quality is on a par to Farid and the original Liles.

i'm not lookin to spend big money as i doubt i will use it really.. its just i've always wanted one.. first blood was the film that got me into knives and going up the woods etc... so just want one.. he he...

United Cutlery is the way to go then.
