First Attempt of carving a Kuksa

I started this at the last Suffolk Meet having a change from spoons...

Used my Mora crook knife, Mora 120, and a bit of sandpaper.

Quite happy with it for the first one, but a bit mis-shapen.. next will be better...lol.. if its no good for drinking out of.. it will end up with tallow in it for a lamp...

Looks great to me. Mishappen is a point of perspective. A few unique curves are what makes a hand craved one nice; do you really want it to look like a chinese factory made one?

Thanks Guys, I must admit I do like it myself, with all its misshapen problems, lol, and it feels good to hold,

I've drank from it.. all good there.. now had some veg oil put on it.. the coffee has made a nice colour in side as well..

That looks a fine bit of work to me, and as others have said I think "misshapen" is another way of saying unique!

Thank you Baelfore, in a way not much different , just a lot harder work to get the bowl, and the handle was short, so felt funny to do.
