First attempt at a handmade copper bowl

Hi Guys..

I saw a video on youtube the other day of a guy making a copper bowl and thought I'd give it a whirl. The copper sheet I had was just a thin strip so its more of a small dish than bowl, only about 7cm across, but I'm quite pleased with it for a first attempt It's a bit lopsided here and there, but I like it

Thanks Harvestman Making it was actually a lot simpler than I thought it would be.. and bashing things with a hammer is always fun Think I'll order some more copper to practice on a few more, see if I can get it a bit neater next time

looking good Squishy just a word of warning, don't use it for cooking, you get nasty fumes from hot copper.

thanks robbi its too small for that anyway, just the right size to hold a few beads when I'm making my jewellery

nice & gnarly i love it. copper is great stuff and has much more of a soul than other metals i find

Thanks Hamish Yeah I like working with copper in my jewellery, it always gives a more 'handmade look' to things I think. And also hides mistakes better than silver
