Firesteel striker/scraper blanks

Does anyone know where I can get some decent firesteel striker / scraper blanks? I am making some yew handled ferro rods and would like to add some matching strikers. The only ones I can find either already have handles or carry a company logo.

Bits of old hacksaw blades make great scrapers. Cut and shape to your desired size and off you go!

I use a metal cutting jigsaw blade as a striker at the moment and it works very well. I did use to have a carbide scraper blade as a striker, that would throw massive sparks from even the cheapest rods, dropped it in the Ulu though, need to find a replacement.

I was having a nosey on tinterweb and saw someone using a cobalt steel lathe turning tool.

Briefly looked them up and a wee one is less than £2. It is square cross section and set nicley into a handle. that's much cheaper than grinding down etc.
