hi guys, just a quick one. im trying to incorporate making your own firesteels into one of our courses but cant seem to find a good source at the right price. any one know where i can get 6-10mm thick and 80-100mm long blanks at a cheapish price. thinking of £2 or under really or is this a bit ambitious? initially want 10-15 of them to test quality, etc and buy in bulk after

cheers

Ive used several supppliers in the past but the ones i linked to provide a great shower of sparks. ive also used firesteel.co.uk and could see no difference to be honest. I used to sell blanks on ebay sourced from jxmetals in shanghai. They are the dominant supplier for most rods you will come across. Nobody ever returned one. I found the quality of striker is the most important variable
