Always been a bourbon chap meself, nice drap of Makers Mark, Woodford Reserve, Blanton’s in a little hip flask at the end of the night. Smashing stuff. At more reasonable end Jim Beam, Bulliet, Buffalo Trace all very nice too.

I have several. Being sort of a brutal winter climate thing here, ice in all my drinks.
>2 oz Kraken dark rum over 2 cubes. (bad day at the office)
>2 oz Gran Marnier over 2 cubes. (bad week at the office)
>6 cubes in a short glass, flood with Martini Dry Vermouth. Add a chopped Navel orange slice. (I'm pooped, need to put my feet up.)
I like the way the taste changes as the ice melts.

Fruit is critical. Then an 8cm/4" sandwich toothpick is essential for spearing
the fruit. Each time, you name a particularly ineffective administrator.

I tried a new gin last night Whitley Neil Blackberry, very nice. Much nicer than same company’s Raspberry variety.

It's great that there are so many new gins on the market these days, and I've tried a few, but I always go back to a good old London Dry Gin.

By the way, I meant Sipmith not Sixmith. :)
