Fire Pit Advice

At Middlewood, I think it is Crow that has the camp to the left of the main fire area coming in. I seem to recall a nice big fire pit / container which was basically a circle of metal with a 3 inch rim. Any advice on where to obtain one of these or does anyone here make such an item?

I want it for camping with the car locations so we can have a real fire without damaging the ground.

I've got one and TBH they're a bit light for having a fire in. Ideal for going under the fire pit for cokking on though

If you specifically want a fire pit with a 3inch rim then get a 45 gallon oil drum and cut the base off to what ever depth you want and attach legs so it's off the ground

I use a pair of them, bolted face to face. Lifts the fire that bit higher off the ground. And I don't care what it looks like as long as the sausages are cooked.

No need to dig a pit to cook a joint... just hang it between 2 fires

Voila... one extremely tasty slow roast leg of lamb... very tender and very easy to do. It took about 4 1/2 hours in total cooking time
