Been tinkering in the shed today and made myself a knife sheath for my skinner (fixed blade and never came with one) so I've made a rigid scabbard out of beech ply. Just hoping for a little advice on sealing and finishing as I'm reluctant to just varnish it. I have linseed oil, teek oil some stains and beeswax. Can it be done with these? A friend of mine even said that barbour reproofing wax can work, anyone ever tried?
