Filson tin cloth wax

Just picked up a Filson Packer coat, it needs a re-proofing.
My question is should I use there oil wax which costs almost as much in postage as the product or will something do the job?

Filson wax is the mutts nutts. Well worth the extra cost. I say go for the proper stuff!

I would have thought so yes. Use it sparingly, it’s easy to get carried away once it warms up!

Otter wax is close. Can you find otter wax locally?
