Fieldcrafter blank , now handled.

Nowhere near as good as you guys ( respect to the dedication involved, it's bloody hard work ) that turn fantastic blades.

I had fancied having a go at handling a blank. So got one from Matt (?).

Got some curly birch and spent blooming hours , forming the handle by hand.

Need to polish the blade now but for my first ever attempt at this , I am quite pleased with the result.

Looks like a cracking first knife! Well done!

Might just be the angle of the picture but does look slightly like the lanyard tube needs a bit more filing (standing proud?)

Aye, there are a cple o' bits that I think I still need to work on. Lanyard needs a wee de burr at the inside edge, also I might sand ( groan ) it down a we bit more.

Need to polish out some small marks on blade as well.
