What's your favorite commercial food item when outdoors?
I'm partial to army ration packs (much cheaper than outdoor foods aimed at the civvy market) and my favorite has to be the beans and sausage! The hot chocolate is also wonderful stuff.
The pudds are OK but none really float my boat.
What's your favorite?

Made a Mars bar drink ones ... just melted it but it wasn't as nice as i thought it would be!

Nice cold Fruit & Nut chocolate - Cadbury's of course.

Least favourite is Kendle mint cake. No, take it away, aarrhhh!

Black pudding.

Already cooked when you buy it, so you can eat it cold if you're cold-camping (or can't light a fire) and it keeps quite well in cool weather for a few days (I wouldn't trust it for more than a week at 10ºC).

My favourite is smooth textured and has chestnuts in it, similar size to traditional Yorks/Lancs pudding, but I also like the old-fashioned "galabar" from Auvergne with big chunks of pig's tongue and fat in it, that's around 6" long and 4" diameter and more irregular.

Keith.
