in Norwich there is a shop called "poundland", every now and then i take a look as you do occasionally get bargains.
recently they have been selling LED headtorches that look identical to the Petzl tikka, they run on 3 aaa batteries on the packaging it suggests different light modes ect. it even has quite a usefull magnet to attatch it to a car ect.
be warned
though it is a genuine LED headtorch it dsn't last anywhere near as long as a petzl. a matter of 3-4 hours use!
on the good side it has 3 modes(not the suggested 6):
remember Night rider? it has that sweeping kit car red light effect.
a fast all LED flash
and a constant all LED on.
the strange thing is this
there are 5 LEDs 3white and a red at each end. all are used during use though as it wears out just the red work.
my 4yr old son likes it anyway!
worth it to put in you bag if you want an emergency light for atracting attention or finding your keys but it won't last all night!
