Coddled eggs.

We used to make these when I was a kid.

Take a really big roasting potato, hollow out the inside and break an egg into it.
Add seasoning (and maybe grated cheese), and put back the "lid" of the potato.
Bake it in the oven.

You could just as easily do this in the embers of a camp fire, or in a Dutch oven.
